With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Burnell Thompson of Edmonton, Kentucky, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Burnell left this world on April 14, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Thompson and Lizzie Poynter Thompson; and his sisters, Frances Kirgan and Shelby Jean Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Alice Cassady Thompson of Edmonton; his son Steve Thompson (Rhonda); his granddaughters, Tara Wright (Travis) and Kayla Eaton (Joseph); and his great grandchildren, Bryson, Saylor, Levi, Allie Jo and Wade.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 8:00 AM at the Butler Funeral Home (201 East St, Edmonton, KY 42129). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Antioch Baptist Church or Pink Ridge Cemetery.
