She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Gertz and Marie Gertz; her husband Ronald Kirkwood; her siblings, Patricia Cain, Mary Moran, Charles Gertz, William Gertz, Melvin Gertz and Thomas Gertz; and her sons-in-law, Stephen Burgess, James Lape and Mitch Layne.
She is survived by: her children, David Kirkwood M. D. (Beverly), Michael Kirkwood M. D. (Carol), Mark Kirkwood (Inna), Robert Kirkwood (Bonnie), Cynthia Thomas (Derek), Laurie Layne (Archie Coldiron) and Patricia Burgess Ebner (Christopher); and her brothers, Robert Gertz and Anthony Gertz. She is also survived by her 30 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
