He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee and Carol; his wife Barbara; and his brother Charles Lee "Bud" Hoefinghoff. He is survived by: his children, Schelli Schroder (Andy), Heather Jansen (Brian) and Richard Hoefinghoff Jr. (Crystal). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He was active on many boards most notably The Highland Cemetery and The Cincinnati Foundation for the Aged.
