He was predeceased by: his parents, Theophile "Tate" Hageman and Irma Thirs Hageman; and his siblings, Ronnie and Irma Lee Kremer. He is survived by: his wife Darla Zosel Hageman; his sons, Ted and Tim Hageman (Nora); his grandchildren, Tate, Eileen, Nick and Holly; and his sister Ruth Coyle. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
