He was predeceased by: his parents, Shelby Tackett and Ida Tackett; and his siblings, Carl Tackett, Orville Tackett, Mae Doan, Ruby Kathleen Courtney, Edna Hiles, Magalene Overbay, Alma Beach and Christina Tackett.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Kay Gruen Tackett; his children, Deanna Buemi (Ted), Tina Frysinger (Rich), Danny Tackett (Donna Lemker) and Steve Tackett (Kelly Rodgers); his stepson Carlos May, Jr.; and his brother Robert Tackett (Pat). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
