He was predeceased by: his father John Steffen; his wife Mary Brune Steffen; his daughter Mary Jo Steffen; and his siblings, Julie Kuhns and Jack Steffen.
He is survived by: his sons, Jack Steffen (Linda), Jay Steffen (Donna) and Jeff Steffen (Diane); and his sister-in-law Florence Baker. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren.
