He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Allen Sauley and Nettie Rudisicille Smith Sauley; his brother William "Bill" Sauley; and his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Sauley and Ruth Peebles Hambrick.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Ann Hambrick Sauley of Union, Kentucky; his sons, Tim Allen Sauley (Kathy) of Union and Brent Michael Sauley of Union, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Brody Michael, Beau Allen (Taylor Gilbert), Brooke Lane and Cruze Jasper Sauley; and his sister-in-law Eva Hannah of Carmel, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
