He was predeceased by: his mother Elli; and his siblings, Guntram, Winfried, Ursula, Inge and Gisela.

He is survived by: his wife Terri Brass; his children, Emily Himonidis (Chris), Eric Brass (Katie), Evan Brass (Christine) and Elliot Brass (Kassidy); his grandchildren, George, Max, Anthony, Nickolas, Ava, Eliana, Elijah and Willow; his sisters, Brigitte Pacetti and Gabriele Wolfsperger; and his sisters-in-law, Colleen Brass and Nancy Stutzmann. He is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Holy Cross HS Academic Enhancement Program, 3617 Church St, Covington, KY 41015.
