He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Berkemeier and Connie Berkemeier; his son Danny Berkemeier; and his brother Roger Berkemeier. He is survived by: his wife Donna Hicks Berkemeier; and his children, Cindy Kopczyk (Larry), Tammy Scully (Nick), Shelley Rigg and Jeff Berkemeier (Judy). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
