He is survived by: his stepdaughter Ginger; his siblings, Paul Gross and Virgie Davis; his son Vernon Ray Gross (Tina) of Ghent; his stepchildren, Paul Rogers of Florence, Sherry McDaniel of Alexandria and Candy Placke of Richmond; his brothers, Alvin Gross of Mustang, OK and Louie Gross of Florence, KY; his grandchildren, Tyler Gross, Mallory Gross and Lacie Gross; and his great grandchildren, Paisley Gross, Payton Gross and Parker Gross. He is also survived by 11 step grandchildren; and several step great grandchildren.
