He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Allen and Regina Allen (Becker). He is survived by: his wife Linda Schaefer; his sister Gina Trapp; his siblings-in-law, Doug and Pam Schaefer; his granddaughter Monicka Allen; his nieces and nephews, Christopher, Mackenzie Schaefer, Luke and Lacee Trapp; and his extended family, Kayte, Craig Girten, Mike and Cheryl Berkel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to two organizations that were important to Dave: Catholic Charities (https://secure.qgiv.com) or Mary Queen of Heaven Church.
