He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bo" and Marie; his wife Mary Jane; his mother-in-law Mary Hug; his siblings, Mary Jane Schack (Linus) and Bob Schlarman; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Baird (Ernie) and Carl Hug.

He is survived by: his son Daniel M. Schlarman (Mary Jane Ludwig); his siblings, Bill Schlarman (Judy) and Ann Kaufman (Jack); and his sister-in-law Betty Schlarman. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews and Blue the cat.
