He was predeceased by: his parents, A. M. "Dink" Bennett and Mary Louise Cassidy Bennett; his daughter Robin Gay Bennett; his grandson Zachary Turner Higgins; and his siblings, Carolyn Harris, Ann Dorroh, Jim Bennett and Harold "Teenie" Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Maxine "Twinky" Bennett of Eddyville; his daughters, Sherry Higgins (Doug) of Hanson and Amy Martin (Tyson) of Eddyville; his sister Barbara Padgett of Kuttawa; and his grandchildren, Abigail Humphrey (Hunter) and Cass Bennett (Kennidy).
