He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ray Belt and Hazel Fowler Belt; his siblings, Norma Belt, Sue Franklin and Dennis Belt; and his son-in-law Bob Akin.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Lois Waters Belt of Eddyville, KY; his daughters, Amelia Vickery (Jeff) of Georgetown, KY, Vanessa Akin of Darmstadt, IN and Gretchen Kuersteiner of Columbus, IN; his siblings, Vera Frazer of Lexington, KY, Paul Belt of Marion, KY, Doyle Belt (Lois) of Lexington, KY and Jerry Belt (Kay) of Marion, KY; his grandchildren, Jason McNeely (Greg), Erin Powderly (Terrence), Mallory Winstead (Chad), Lauren Baumgart (Chris), Margie Akin and Kyle Kuersteiner; and his great grandchildren, Brady, Cooper, Campbell Kirk, Griggs Winstead, Burton, Blanche Wilson-McNeely, Lucas, Vivian and Jack Baumgart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
