He is survived by: his wife Peggy McKinney Mathis; his son Chad Mathis (Christina); his sisters, Clara Maurer (Bruce) and Sheila Dankovic; his grandchildren, Damien Mathis, Michaela Mathis and Rhyanna Mathis; and his great grandchildren, Colten Mathis and Payten Mathis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
