He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Lee Shelton and Lilly Cooper Shelton; his wife Lucille Shelton; his daughter Lucinda Payne; and his siblings, Hollis Shelton, Kay Shelton Kane, Peggy Shelton Long and Tishie Shelton Ingram.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Hilary Moore (David) of Hopkinsville; his great grandchildren, Sarah Moore and Nathan Moore; and his friend Peggy Hirst of Eddyville.
