He is survived by: his wife Sue Johnson; his children, Bobby Johnson, Tommy Johnson and Donnie Ward; and his sisters, Dora Ann Cripps of Louisville, KY, Missy Price of White Mills, KY, Leona Frazier of Bowling Green, KY and Carol Higdon of Hudson, KY. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
