He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Wesley, Sr. and Alice Lay (Pike) of Virginia; and his siblings, Howard Lay, Jr., Carolyn Bolin and James Louis Lay.
He is survived by: his siblings, Harry (Steve Lay), Betty Hodge and John (Joe Lay). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
