She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddie Porter and Olgia Wells Porter; her husband Sammie Reed; her children, Rosemary Reed and Sammie Reed Jr.; and her siblings, Johnnie Porter, Danny Porter, Chester Porter, Jeff Porter, Mary Ruth May, Emma Gallant, Bessie Christopher, Dimple Spradlin and Brenda Adams Dorothy Hanby.
She is survived by: her daughter Evelyn Reed of Paintsville, Kentucky; her grandson Sammie "BJ" Reed III (Debbie); her great grandchildren, Rachel Reed and Jakob Reed; and her siblings, Eddie Porter, Jr., Julia Reffett, Connie Caldwell and Martha Carol Porter. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
