He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Spencer and Dessie May Spencer; and his former wife Janice Kaye Potter Spencer. He is survived by: his wife Freda Burke Spencer; his daughters, Lena Kaye Spencer Prater (Greg) of Rockville, Maryland, Sheri Lynn Spencer Meade (Bruce) of Winchester, Kentucky and Cassandra Nicole Spencer of Aberdeen; his sisters, Edith Jewel Blevins of East Point and Freda Dephane Goble of Hager Hill, Kentucky; his mother-in-law Darlene Burke; and his grandchildren, Blake Meade (Ivana), Jared Meade (Kristina), Jessica Prater, Coty Meade (Christiana), Devyn McHone (Justin) and Aaron Prater. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
