She was predeceased by: her parents, Rayford Eugene and Nora Dellar Smith Sappington (Camplin); her husband Walter Thomas Ellis Alexander; and her brothers, Terry Smith, Perry Smith and Clyde Smith.

She is survived by: her brothers, Billy Scott (Karen) of Dawson Springs and Harry Scott Jr. (Ni Ki Ta) of Chattanooga, TN; and her half-sister Doris McNary (Mark) of Pontiac, MI. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
