He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Hayes; and his daughter Peggy Brasher. He is survived by: his sons, Ron Hayes and Troy Hayes; and his siblings, Evelyn Perkins of Barnsley, KY, JoAnn Ashby of Mortons Gap, KY, Tommy Hayes of Earlington, KY and Kenny Hayes of Madisonville, KY. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
