He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Thomas Griffin and Lucille Rogers Griffin; and his siblings, Bernice Polk, Robert and Earl Griffin.
He is survived by: his wife Jeannie Marie Simpson Griffin; his daughter Amy Suzanne Griffin Phelps of Eddyville, KY; and his stepchildren, Carol Hedrick of Louisville, KY, Misty McGowan and Bobby Mayes of Dycusburg, KY. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one niece, one nephew and three great nephews.
