She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleo Garrett and Ida Lewallen Garrett; and her siblings, Ronnie Veral Garrett, Jeweldene Griffin and Beatrice Imogene Pierce.

She is survived by: her fiancé Jackie Overstreet; her niece Carla Garrett Hogue; and her nephews, Travis Pierce Jr. and Troy Pierce.
