She was predeceased by: her parents, Murrel McPherson, Sr. and Althna Gossett McPherson; her husband Harry James; and her siblings, Willie Corley, Clara Baker, Charlotte Bryant, Cecil McPherson, John McPherson and Murrel McPherson, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Teresa Hicks (Bill) of Houston, TX, Michael James (Connie) of Huntsville, AL, David James (Connie) of Ankeny, IA and Steve James (Julie) of Louisville, KY; and her grandchildren, Jessica (David), Bradley James (Amanda), Addison James (Sarah), Andrew James (Tanya), John Hicks (Becky), James Read, Casey James (April), Caylin James (Autumn), Chandler James and Alex Vega. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Penrod Baptist Church (778 KY-949, Dunmor, KY 42339). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
