He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Jesse Sears and Henrietta Kalish Sears; his daughter Mary Dunham Sears; and his sisters, Henrietta, Nancy, Betty, June and Rita.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Collins Sears; his children, Melvin Gregory Sears of Batavia, OH., Karen Smith (Greg) of Cincinnati, OH., Marilyn Sue Baurichter (Shawn) of Cincinnati, OH., Denise Schneider (Mark) of Cincinnati, OH., Mary Kay Mette (Terry) of Milford, OH. and Rebecca Turner (Brandon) of Lexington, KY.; and his nephews, Michael Miller and James Gibson.
