He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Ollie and Pearl Iola Halvorson Sunby; his wife Leona Darlene Karol; his children, Steven Sunby and Terri Sunby; and his son-in-law Jerry Strange.
He is survived by: his children, Anthony Sunby (Kristen) and Jill Strange of Dry Ridge; and his sisters, Gayle McMullen (Ed) of Oro Valley, AZ and Gloria Thomas of Nisswa, MN. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
