He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Grubbs and Stella Updike Grubbs; his sister Judy Blevins; and his brothers-in-law, Charlie Grubbs and Jerry Westover.
He is survived by: his wife Emma "Judy" Winans Burnette; his children, Darin Burnette of Dry Ridge and Deanna Greene (Jeff) of Dry Ridge; and his siblings, Norma Grubbs, Jean Westover, Marcus Blackburn (Omer), Doreen Miles (Bob), Regina Wright and Janice Smith (Dave). He is also survived by 2 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
