He was predeceased by: his wife Aline Abney; his parents, Claude Abney and Georgia Jones Abney; his children, Harold, Charles "Chuck", Billy Abney and Marilyn Colson; and his brothers, Donnie, Ronnie and Gerald Abney.
He is survived by: his children, Larry, Jerry Abney, Pamela Abney and Phyllis Kindoll; and his siblings, Blaine Abney (Aline), Jean Kidd and Shirley Kidwell. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
