He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Ison and Edna Roberts Ison; his son Dwight Ison; and his siblings, Ray Ison and Mary Ann Hamilton.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie Kay Ison; his children, Vickie Keeton (Ken) of Dry Ridge and Paul Ison (Tammy) of Walton; his grandchildren, Lorie and Jarrod; his great grandchildren, Benjamin and Matthew; and his siblings, Dot Fugate of Flatwoods, Ernie Ison of West Liberty, Elsie Salyers of Salyersville, Ina Whitt of Florence and David Ison of Sandy Hook. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.
