He was predeceased by: his wife Shelba Jean Gibson; his son Jesse "Jay" Gibson II; and his stepdaughter Beth Harper. He is survived by: his daughter Jessica Peay (Tim); his grandchildren, Nick, Zack Peay, Clay, Alex, Andy and Lexie Gibson; his brother Scottie Gibson; and his stepchildren, Pam Rowlett, Lisa Delahoussaye and Scott Harper.
