He is survived by: his wife Darlene Burden Benson; his children, Gary Nathan Benson (Tiana), Robin Annette Taylor (Sandy) of Thompkinsville, KY, Mischelle Gossett (Bruce) of Nelson Creek and Tricia Nalen (Patrick) of Owensboro; his brother Steve Benson (Tracy) of Fort Branch, IN; his siblings-in-law, Kathy Rhodes of Beechmont and Williams of Cromwell; his grandchildren, Jon Ross Miller (Brittney), Trey Taylor (Payton), Morgan Wellum (Josh), Chealsea Watkins (Lauren), Amelia Pate, Ivy Benson (Eric), Hayden Benson and Desiree Duncan; and his great grandchildren, Easton Miller, Addison Brown, Aria Steele, Uzziah Steele, Laykenn Johnson, Harlynn Johnson and Korbynn Johnson.
