He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Avery and Zella Avery; and his siblings, Lloyd Avery, Bill Avery, Jimmy Avery, Joe Avery Jr., Jonell Avery, Ollie Mosby and Barbara Sigers.
He is survived by: his sons, Adam Avery and Charles Allen Avery; his siblings, Margaret Rector, Loretta Everett, Donald Avery, Richard Avery, Bobby Avery and Larry Avery; and his grandchildren, Adam Avery, Tye Barnes, Travis Avery and Carlie Enix.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tucker Funeral Home (113 N 3rd St, Central City, KY 42330). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at the Cemetery Nelson Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery (12349 US-62, Central City, KY 42330).
