He was predeceased by: his father Harry "Buddy" Smallwood; and his sister Peggy McPeek. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Smallwood; his children, Shannon Smallwood of Dorton, Rebecca Bowling (Dave) of Dorton and Nicole Harvey (Trevor) of Tuscon, AZ; his brother-in-law Jimmy McPeek of Melvindale, MI; his grandchildren, Olivia Christine Bowling, Isabelle Louise Bowling, Ashtyn Ballard, Austin Ballard (Elizabeth), Sierra Harvey and Shane Harvey; his nephews, Chris McPeek (Kim) and Neil McPeek (Sue); his great-niece Ashley Beauch (Eric); his close friend Suzanne Tackett; and also Emma Beauch. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
