It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gloria Bea Newsom of Dorton, Kentucky, who passed away on December 15, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gloria Bea Newsom to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnie Holifield and Babe Tackett Holifield; and her siblings, Paul Holifield, Carl Holifield, Homer Caldwell, Jack Caldwell, Mary Mullins, Georgia Ann Henson and Geraldine Estep.

She is survived by: her husband Otto Newsom of Dorton; her children, Kenny Newsom (Marcy) of Ft. Myers, FL, Daryl Newsom (Suzie) of Myra, Chris Newsom (Carol) of Pilot Mountain, NC, Cathy Reinthaler (Eddie) of Paintsville, Tammy Gregory (Lyndon) of Harrodsburg, Robin Justice (Joey) of Dorton and Missy Lucas (Barry) of Shelby Gap; and her brothers, John Holifield of Midland, MI and Tommy Holifield (Glenna) of Brazil, IN. She is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren, fifty-six great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
