It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Stanley Richard Kelly Sr. of Dixon, Kentucky, who passed away on October 29, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Violet Sheehan Kelly and Michael Kelly; his granddaughter Amber Frost; and his siblings, Joan Kelly McCarthy, Ita Kelly Thompson and Michael Kelly.
He is survived by: his former wife Rose; his daughter Nickki; his wife Sharon Porter Kelly; his children, Lisa Frost (David) of Brush, CO, Laura Kelly of Thorton, CO, Brette Kelly of Canada, Summer Warren of Nashville, TN, Tammy Michael (Tim) of Cookeville, TN, Kim Gilles (Kyle) of Nashville, TN, Nikki Poole of Madisonville, Michael Kelly (April) of Littleton, CO, John "Jack" Kelly of Minneapolis, MN, Patrick "Pat" Kelly (Desi) of Hanson, KY, Thomas Kelly of Hanson, KY and Stanley Kelly, Jr. of Madisonville, KY; his brothers, Austin Kelly of Scotland and Noel Kelly (Pearl) of Simsbury, CT; and his caregivers, Tosha, Sindy, Suzie and Allison. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (1600 Kingsway Dr, Madisonville, KY 42431). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at the Slaughters Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Madisonville.
