He was predeceased by: his parent Rozell Raben Thomas; his son Justin Oates; and his stepfather Charles Thomas. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Oates of Dixon, KY; his daughters, Sherry Glassco (Travis) of Dixon, KY and Lisa Burnett (Charles) of Sebree, KY; his siblings, Tammy Ward of Georgia, Elaine Denton of Florida, Randy Thomas of Michigan and Mark Nichols of Georgia; and his grandchildren, Preston Glassco and Briana Rakestraw. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
