He is survived by: his wife Melanie Payne of Dixon, KY; his daughters, Kelsey Payne of Metropolis and Alyssa Payne of Evansville, Indiana; his grandchild Brelynn Latrise Jackson of Evansville, Indiana; his parents, Melvin Payne and Ruth Payne of Madisonville, KY; and his siblings, Michael Ray Payne of Princeton, KY, Carmen Whitledge of Henderson, KY and Jill Spears of Terre Haute, Indiana. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
