He was predeceased by: his parents, John Lee Childress and Margaret Hartless Childress; and his brothers, James Childress and Larry Childress. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Douglas and John Clinard; and his brothers, John C. Childress and Roger Childress. He is also survived by three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
