It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amalia Carnes of Dewitt, Kentucky, who passed away on December 13, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Esperanza Toledo (Avalos) and Marcial Toledo; and her sister Gwille Florence. She is survived by: her husband James Carnes; her sons, Michael Carnes of San Diego, Johnny Carnes (Gwen) of Corbin, Ellis Carnes (Teresa) of Barbourville and John Kennedy; her daughter-in-law Amy; her daughter Dorothy Dickenson of San Diego; and her siblings, Alfonso Toledo of Los Angeles, Leonard Toledo of Esperanto, Mexico (Tony Toledo), Marie Raiz of Bakersfield, Francis Kennedy of Long Beach and Magdalena Toledo of Las Vegas, Nevada.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
