He was predeceased by : his wife Nancy; his parents, Evalene Dykes and Fount Dykes; and his stepmother Juanta Dykes. He is survived by : his children, Susan (Louis Turman), Rebecca Larsh and Denton Dykes; his siblings, Trudy Ragle and F. C. Dykes (Maxine); and his grandchildren, Amanda Simpson (Josiah), Heather Snow and Shawn Turman (Ashley). He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and many cousins and nieces and nephews.
