He was predeceased by: his parents, Burgess Blackburn and Josephine Blackburn; his daughter Marci Bertling; and his siblings, Billy Joe, Glen, Earnest, Burgess Jr., Manatta Blackburn and Ida Goble.
He is survived by: his wife Rosa Fay Blackburn; his children, Rodney Blackburn of Lexington, KY and Linda Scott (Greg) of Debord, KY; his grandchildren, Jennifer Harmon (Brent), Megan Mills (Derrick), Courtney Little (Anthony) and Ian Bertling; his great grandchildren, Addison, Kinley, Kyleigh, Tate, Kaiden, Ryder, Marci, Licia and Jill; and his siblings, John Eddie Blackburn (Doris), Russell Blackburn (Mildred), Don Blackburn (Greta), Phyllis Preece and Betty Chapman.
