It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Bentley of Deane, Kentucky, who passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Martin and Margaret Jean Martin (Wright); her mother-in-law Latisha Bentley; and her siblings-in-law, Cleve Collier and Ramona Taylor.
She is survived by: her daughters, Stephanie Ann Brown (Ross) of Lexington, KY and Elizabeth Ashley Bentley (Brandon) of Neon, KY.; her grandchildren, Hadley Elizabeth Brown, Baylor Kyle, Jaxson Colt and Sawyer Tate Bentley; and her sisters, Kay Collier (Cleve) of Whitesburg, Shelia Arnett (Larry) of Berea and Ceclia Lynn Bates (Jeff) of Whitesburg. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Letcher Funeral Home (102 Main St, Whitesburg, KY 41858). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
