He was predeceased by: his father Bob Motyka. He is survived by: his mother Rose Motyka (Ray Orsi); his children, Jonah Motyka and Piper Motyka; and his sister Kristin Motyka (Thomas Hinton).

As a final act of kindness, he was able to donate his corneas to give another person the gift of sight.
