She was predeceased by: her mother Gloria Miller; and her siblings, Brenda Closson and Earl Closson, Jr.. She is survived by: her son John Perry, Jr.; her boyfriend Martin Roll; her father Earl Closson Sr.; her siblings, Tonya Paynter and Scott Miller; her close friend Regenia; and her grandson Dawson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a local animal shelter in Ruth's memory, celebrating her love for animals.
