He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Hartman and Virginia Hartman; his siblings, Barbara Steltenpohl and Robert Jr.; and his great grandchild Coraline Webster (Cori).

He is survived by: his wife Kathleen "Kitty" Hartman; his children, Lisa Webster (Joe), Jane Pangallo (Dino) and John Hartman II (Dottie); his grandchildren, Joe Webster Jr. (Holly), Jeff Webster, Allison Pangallo (Lauryn Farrar), Mitchell Pangallo (Andrea), Spencer Pangallo, Connor Blaser (Kristen), Will and Hannah Hartman; his great grandchildren, Scarlett, Darcy Webster and Melanie Smith; and his siblings, Peggy Stevens (Larry), Mary Ilg (Dave) and Rich Hartman (Jo Ann).

Donations may be made to St Bernard Food Pantry and St Bernard's Bereavement Committee.
