He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hawkins and Joanne Hawkins; and his sister Angela Hawkins. He is survived by: his children, Kellyjo Wakefield and Zachary Hawkins (Heather); his grandchildren, Joseph Deller, Destyni Verkamp, LaShawna Johnson, Izaiah Hawkins, William Perry and Keagan Hawkins; his great grandchildren, Austyn, Weslie and Roman; and his siblings, Laura Terry, Sandie Gaggin, Pat Hawkins, Chris Hawkins and Kenny Hawkins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
