He was predeceased by: his father Dennis Downing, Sr.; and his brother Vance Raleigh. He is survived by: his mother Linda Raleigh (Jerry Boggs); his sisters, Penny Downing, Chanda Flynn and Devona Fryer; and his nieces and nephews, Brandon Silva, Noah Fryer, Samantha Flynn, Amanda Koterba and Anabel Beal.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation in Dennis's memory.
