He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Orten and Margie Victoria Trotter Orten. He is survived by: his son Orvel Elvis Orten of Metropolis, IL; his siblings, R. L. Orten (Carolyn) of Dawson Springs, KY and Ruth Hoard (Dextel) of Charleston, KY; his grandson Conor Orten of Knoxville, TN.; and his wife Ruby Lee Orten.
