He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Brown Kennedy of Dawson Springs, KY; his stepchildren, Amanda Robinson (Eddie) of Dalton, KY, Ryan Franklin (Jessica) of White Plains, KY and Jonathon Franklin (Natalie) of White Plains, KY; his siblings, Polly Ann Carter of Dawson Springs, KY and Dr. William "Bill" Kennedy of Estero, FL; and his grandchildren, Chad, Casey, Cory, Colton, Dillon, Adelyn, Mason, Lawson and Easton.
